Capacity and Skills Building

Our Capacity and Skills Building support helps you develop self-care, social, daily routine, home keeping and public transport skills — building independence across Melbourne’s western suburbs.

Capacity Building is one of the three core NDIS support categories, designed to help you grow specific skills over time rather than provide ongoing hands-on care. Whether you’re working on personal care routines, social confidence, daily structure, home skills, or getting around independently, our team builds a plan around your own goals and pace, and reviews it regularly to track your progress within your NDIS plan.

This service is generally funded under Capacity Building Supports — Improved Daily Living or Improved Relationships in your NDIS plan, depending on which skills you’re working on.

Our team organises engaging activities, workshops, and group sessions to promote social interaction, communication, and relationship-building. We aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals can form meaningful connections and expand their social networks.

Daily Routine

Maintaining a structured daily routine can significantly contribute to an individual’s overall well-being and productivity. Our experts provide personalised support in planning and organising daily activities, setting goals, time management, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Establishing effective routines enables individuals to enhance their productivity, achieve personal goals, and improve their overall quality of life.

Homekeeping Skills

We understand the importance of a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment. Our dedicated team offers practical guidance and assistance in developing essential home keeping skills. From organising living spaces to learning efficient cleaning techniques, we empower individuals to take charge of their household responsibilities, fostering independence and a sense of pride in their living spaces.

Public Transport

Navigating public transportation can sometimes be challenging for individuals with disabilities. We provide comprehensive support in learning to use public transport systems confidently and independently. Our team offers training on route planning, understanding timetables, utilising accessible features, and developing strategies to address potential obstacles. We aim to empower individuals to travel confidently, expanding their mobility and access to various community resources.
